Why participate in the contest

1. It's a great opportunity to have your stickers presented to millions of people: Once reviewed and approved, your submitted stickers will be available in WeChat's Malaysia Sticker Gallery and available to Malaysian users to download and send to friends.

2. Excellent sticker sets will earn awesome prizes: A score will be tabulated according to the number of times a sticker is downloaded and sent within the first 30 days of the sticker set's release and the top scoring sticker sets will win prizes.

Submission Requirements

1. Comply with the Terms and Conditions.

2. Malaysian Accent & Slang WeChat Stickers should consist of Malaysian idioms used on a very frequent basis, such as lah, loh, hah, oh, bojio, walao etc.

3. Suitable for use within WeChat chats

4. Comply with "WeChat Stickers Design Specifications"（Click here to read it）

5. Conform to "WeChat Stickers – Prohibited Content Policy"（Click here to read it）

6. Try to use the same language throughout the sticker set

How to participate

Please read carefully the Terms and Conditions. If you agree to the Terms and Conditions, you may submit stickers via the following methods:

1. Submit all fields below in a .zip file clearly marked with your name (e.g. WeChat Sticker_NAME) via email to sticker@tencent.com

a) A requested .zip file that contains all required files specified in"WeChat Stickers Design Specifications".

b) Application form (Download the form here and fill it completely)

c) Scanned copy or photo of both sides of participant's MyKad HD.

2. Email Subject: WeChat Stickers_Your Name

Note:

1. After sending your sticker set, please pay attention to your email inbox. The sticker reviewer will send feedback and review comments to this email inbox.

2. If you send stickers to our email address, it indicates that you have agreed to the Terms and Conditions.

Contest Schedule

1st Stage: Sticker Submission Period (May 18 00:00 to July 18 24:00)

The participant should submit their sticker set via email following the sticker requirements.

When WeChat receives your stickers, your sticker works will be reviewed and feedback sent to you via email.

Note: If your submitted stickers are required to modify, you should modify your stickers based on provided feedback and then re-submit them no later than the submission deadline of July 18 24:00.

2nd Stage: Sticker Release (July 19 00:00 to August 18 24:00)

Reviewed and approved stickers will be released on WeChat's Malaysia Sticker Gallery and available to Malaysian users to download and send.

3rd Stage: Winners Announcement and Reward Prizes (August 24 00:00 to August 31 24:00)

Winners' list confirmation: The score will be tabulated according to the number of sticker downloads and number of times sent within 30 days of the sticker set's release and top scores gathered.

The reward list of winners will be announced in the Sticker Gallery via a banner.

Artists will be contacted regarding their contest winning and be rewarded with their prize.

Terms and Conditions

1. By submitting an entry for the competition, you shall be deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by the competition requirements set out on this page (https://sticker.weixin.qq.com/cgi-bin/mmemoticon-bin/readtemplate?t=bulletin/designCompetition) and these terms and conditions.

2. If there is any conflict between these terms and conditions and any other published materials, these terms and conditions will prevail.

3. The decision of WeChat International Pte Ltd. (“WeChat”) in all matters relating to the competition is final and binding and no queries or correspondence will be entertained.

4. WeChat reserves the right to remove and/or disqualify any entry that does not meet WeChat's specifications outlined in the competition requirements or these terms and conditions.

5. All entries must be the original, independent creation of the participant, and free from any claims including copyright or trademark claims by other parties. Previously published entries (whether published in print materials, posted online or submitted to other competitions, etc) are not eligible. Entries that are in breach of these conditions may be disqualified.

6. Entries that have been submitted to the WeChat Sticker Design Competition may not be submitted to other sticker platforms or online applications.

7. Each participant represents and warrants that: (i) he/she is the rightful owner of the entries;(ii) he/she has complied with all applicable laws, regulations and ethical guidelines applicable in the competition; and has not infringed on any third party rights, including copyrights, trademarks, industrial property, trade secrets, confidentiality obligations and rights of privacy and publicity.

8. Each participant grants WeChat a perpetual, exclusive, transferable, royalty-free, worldwide, irrevocable, sub-licensable right to use, distribute, perform and display the sticker designs submitted in the competition in any media and purpose with attribution credit given to the name or nickname of the participant. Such licence includes the right for us and/or our affiliate companies to distribute your entry: (i) to third parties within WeChat; and/or (ii) on any other platforms operated by us or our affiliate companies.

9. To the extent permitted by applicable law, you the participant agree to hold harmless, defend and indemnify WeChat and its officers, directors and employees from and against any and all claims, demands, liability, damages or causes of action (however named or described), losses, costs or expenses, with respect to or arising out of or related to (i) your participation in the competition (including but not limited to copyright and any other right infringement related to your entries or entries or concerning the authorship of the entries or rights to use the entries), or (ii) your participation in any prize related activities, acceptance of a prize and/or use or misuse of a prize (including, without limitation, any property loss, damage, personal injury or death caused to any person(s).

10. The laws of Malaysia will apply to these terms and conditions.
